Duncan is a law graduate who qualified as a solicitor in 1981 and after over 30 years ‘man and boy’ with a Nuneaton-based firm of solicitors he struck out on his own in 2010 and founded Broomfields with Mark Anderson. Duncan is married to Judith and their family home is in Leicestershire. They have three grown-up children all of whom have flown the family nest into successful careers. Outside work Duncan plays golf and has a lifelong love of cricket having played the game and represented his school at the highest level. He is also interested in travel, cookery and theatre Shakespeare being a particular favourite.

He also has a special interest in agricultural law, trusts and inheritance tax.
